Have a Soda Sense unit and felt the tank refills were just too expensive by mail. Took 3 tanks to a local compressed gas place and the owner was very helpful. Purchased a larger new tank and he identified this connecting unit as a fit. Stated there has been a lot of homeowners coming into the business needing help. Buy or lease the tank, but leasing was 12/month. In about 10 months you will break even if purchased. I was told tank refills were 35 and one tank is equal to 5-7 separate tanks. Sorry I did not do the math. Was concerned that this unit would not connect but in reading other reviews it was stated that both Soda Sense and Soda Stream use the same bottles with different labels. Package with the tubing has all required parts. You will need a crescent wrench to tighten the tube to the tank. Hand tighten the connection to the bottle filling unit. The connection is plastic and you do not want to crack it. Works great.Lots of videos to view. I was advised not to buy the rubber connector line model because the air passing through can pick up a rubber flavor. Avoid that mistake. If your fancy , you can store the tank under a counter and leave the unit on your countertop. Run the tube up through a hole. My kitchen counters are prime real estate so I moved the filling to the basement laundry sink. No one seems to care and the wife is happy she does not have to see it.
